Whether you are a professional artist, a dilettante, or complete novice, your birth art has value! And we would love to share your images and insights with our virtual community. Please read our guidelines very carefully. ONLY submissions following the guidelines will be considered. Thank you in advance for your attention to detail. Submissions and questions should be emailed to: art@birthingfromwithin.com.
1. A "web-ready" digital image of your birth art (painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, etc.) meeting the following specifications: - File name should be edited to the following style:
Your last name, followed by the number of the image. For example: England1.jpg or England2.jpg (for a second file) - Jpeg format (extension at the end of the file should read: .jpg)
- Maximum file size of 200 k
2. Your commentary: a paragraph or two about what inspired your piece, or what it means to you (up to 300 words). All written descriptions may be edited for clarity, appropriateness, and length. 3. A statement of your agreement to our terms: "I, (your full name) hereby give permission to BIRTHING FROM WITHIN® LLC to display my artwork and comments on their website: www.birthingfromwithin.com. I grant them permission to modify the resolution of the image and edit my commentary as they see fit." 4. PLEASE give us your full name, city, state and country, and your email and/or phone number. We will ONLY publish your first name, city, and a link of your choosing (see below). Your other personal information will remain confidential. 5. If you want to, please provide ONE LINK to one of the following: your website, blog, email, Twitter or Facebook page. At your request, we will include it with your image. If at any time you want your contribution to the Gallery removed, simply send us an email, and we will remove your image and commentary as soon as possible. Please understand that it may take some time for our new Gallery to be ready for public viewing, and its format is still evolving. Also, there is limited space in our Birth Art Gallery. ecause of the large number of entries we expect, we will rotate and "hang" new images quarterly. We make no guarantees that any image will be published.
