Member Call: The Love Warrior Archetype
The Love Warrior teaches us that love is an act of courage, one that asks us to remain open-hearted, grounded, and connected to ourselves even when birth takes an unexpected turn. In this call, we'll explore how practicing self-compassion and drawing upon our own inner resources helps us find the wisdom to do the next best thing, while also guiding parents to trust their own inner strength, intuition, and capacity to meet each moment as it unfolds.
Member Call: The Hunter/Hunter Archetypes
The Hunter/Huntress reminds us that preparation, courage, and action all have an important place in birth, but they are not the whole story. Together, we'll explore how this archetype appears in the families we serve and in our own hearts as birth workers, inviting us to discern when to act, when to soften, and when to trust the unfolding journey. Through reflection and discussion, we'll deepen our understanding of how this archetype can become both a strength and a wise mentor in our work.
Member Call: The Victim/Judge Archetypes
The gathering of ideas, information, mentors and tools is an important part of preparing for birth. But in a world flooded with voices, resources, and products, how do we choose where to focus our attention? Come learn how to support your clients (and yourself) in finding meaningful connections to gather, rather than being overwhelmed by the noise. Let's move together from endlessly accumulating to discernment and confidence.
Member Call: Talking to Parents about the Unexpected
Conversations about the unexpected are an essential part of preparing parents for birth and postpartum, yet they can feel delicate to navigate.
In this call, we’ll explore how to talk about uncertainty, change, and complexity in ways that are honest, grounded, and supportive. Together, we’ll practice solution-focused language and approaches that help parents build flexibility and resilience without increasing fear or overwhelm.
Member Call: The Gatherer Archetype
The gathering of ideas, information, mentors and tools is an important part of preparing for birth. But in a world flooded with voices, resources, and products, how do we choose where to focus our attention? Come learn how to support your clients (and yourself) in finding meaningful connections to gather, rather than being overwhelmed by the noise. Let's move together from endlessly accumulating to discernment and confidence.
Member Call: Nervous System Regulation Tools for Birth Workers
Birth workers often support others through intense, unpredictable experiences, which makes tending to our own nervous systems an essential part of our work.
Together, we’ll reflect on how regulation and dysregulation show up in birth spaces, and how birth workers can cultivate steadiness within themselves while supporting the people they serve.
Member Call: The Orphan Archetype
Let’s dive a little deeper into the Orphan archetype. We can see this archetype on a societal level, in popular and traditional stories, in ourselves, and in parents preparing for birth. With a focus on the childbearing year, we’ll explore the light and shadow sides of the Orphan and the process of integrating the two.
Member Call: The Innocent Archetype
Join us on this call to explore common characteristics of the Innocent archetype, including qualities we may experience in the parents we work with, how this archetype shows up in practice, ideas for ways to respond, and tasks of preparation we may offer to support them on their childbearing journey.
